INSTRUCTORS
At TKMT Academy, all of our instructors are carefully selected based on good character, and are required to maintain the highest level of standards and professionalism. All of our instructors must satisfy the following criteria:
1. Must be certified in first aid & CPR
2. Must be training and/or competing regularly
3. Must be regularly engaging in professional development seminars
4. Must pass a rigorous test of Muay Thai skills, fitness/conditioning and
teaching competence
Once all of the above have all been met, the individual will become a certified instructor under The World Professional Muay Thai Federation, and be recruited as a full instructor under TKMT.

| KYLE BYRON, Nutritionist |
| |
From weight loss to sports performance, Kyle has a great deal to offer his clients. While his understanding of nutrition in great, it’s his understanding of people – and the strategies they need to make real change – that sets him apart. The keys are goal setting, coaching and education on what to eat . . . when, how much and why.
Kyle earned an honours degree in Human Nutrition from St. Francis Xavier University. Graduating as one of the top students in the nation, he was selected to participate in graduate placements in inpatient care, sports performance, weight loss and childhood obesity.
In addition to his experience, Kyle also “walks the walk.” He is certified as a personal trainer, has captained numerous rugby and football teams, competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, triathlons, and most anything in which you say you can beat him.
"I'm in my thirties now and am leaner, stronger, and have way less stress, than I did in my twenties. I can help you reach your personal best despite your perceived limitations."
Kyle is TKMT’s nutritionist and has helped many members of our gym achieve their fitness and personal goals through nutritional counseling. His website is: http://www.kylebyronnutrition.com/ |

| CRISTIAN REYES,
Assistant Instructor |
| |
Cristian first started training in Jeet Kune Do under Ralph Lawatarski, and then under Sean Swinger at FAC. He then moved on to study the Russian martial art “Systema” under Vladimir Vasiliev. Then after, Cristian was introduced to Muay Thai by Kru Mel at Lanna Muay Thai, and instantly fell in love with the art. He was particularly drawn to the intense workouts, drills, pad work and sparring. Then in 2008 Cristian met Warren Lee and Ajahn Amnat at TKMT, and started with the Saturday Muay Boran class and then eventually progressed to training at TKMT full time. He is very happy to be a part of the TKMT team because everyone welcomed him and accepted him as “part of the family” since day one. Cristian looks forward to sharing his enthusiasm with all beginner students at TKMT Uptown. |

| EDRIC LOW, Muay Thai Kickboxing Instructor |
| |
As soccer player from the age of five, Edric has always led an active lifestyle and has been involved in competitive athletics for the majority of his life. At the pinnacle of his athletic career, he received a soccer scholarship and played for two years in the United States before having to undergo two major knee surgeries. At this point he turned his focus to academia in which he earned his B.A. in Business Economics. Albeit his misfortune, he still felt that he needed to satisfy his competitive nature and that is when he decided to study Muay Thai Kickboxing. Today Edric is not only enamoured with practicing this combat sport, but with the Thai culture and traditions that are synonymous with the art. He also enjoys teaching Muay Thai at all levels as well as helping out with designing TKMT administrative procedures, curriculum and instructor professional development. His favourite weapons are knees and teep! |
